This is how my custom oneculture selvage denim jeans looked before (click here) and 13 months later (with only one wash), look how beautiful they look now!  I’m very pleased to how they came out and they still fit amazing, despite the fact that they shrunk a couple of inches in length, which isn’t a deal breaker for me since I cuff or roll my jeans 99% of the time.  All in all- I am very satisfied with the outcome.

The good people of ArtOfficial Lifestyle™ asked me to participate in their new project called #DailyEssentials.  Since I kicked of the project I had to make sure that my presentation was right by putting together a visual of my #DailyEssentials- though there are a few things missing, I selected my top 5.5 items lol.  You can view the whole post here.

1. My Signature Tom Ford (Jack) Eyeglasses (either Black or Tortoise Brown)
2. My Signature Cap (The Essential Cap- 5panel Camper)
3. Black Berry Bold w/ Steve Mono Leather Case
4. Southern Field Industries Waxed Rucksack0 Antique Red (w/ MacBook Pro inside)
5. cdg PLAY converse Chuck Taylor’s/Jack Purcell’s (at least one of the 6 pair I own)

Thank you ArtOfficial Lifestyle™ for the consideration.

It’s been 13 months since my “Initial Fit” post for these oneculture Pulsar’s (Slim-Tapered) and today they are getting wash, but first I wanted to share how beautifully the jeans have aged so far.

For the first 6-8 months I wore them faithfully everyday, then I started to rotate between them and a pair of RRL’s that I had already had for a year and half (post coming soon)- but within these last couple of months I got back in routine, and now they are good and ready for their first bath.

Steve Mono is a men’s leather goods company based out of Spain operated soley by Gonzalo Fonseca. Working with a small local manufacturer, Gonzalo oversees the production through the whole process from vegetable tanning (the leather) to the packaging in order to ensure a great quality product to offer to his customers.

Since discovering the company early last summer, I have been following Steve Mono ever since, and I have nothing but good things to say, particularly his small leather goods.  In my humble opinion, the small leather good products by Steve Mono embodies everything I love and gravitate towards regarding design: style, simplicity, and functionality.  The design aesthetic of the brand is very minimal, but very attentive to detail- hence the vegetable tanned calf leather found on the inside of all of the products.

Also the fact that a case for my Blackberry Bold is offered in the product line still baffles me (for obvious reasons); I’m sure those of you who actually still owns a Blackberry can relate to the scarcity (or none for this matter) of stylish phone cases offered for our device- it’s just refreshing to see someone think of our dying breed.  Thanks Gonzalo.

About two months ago I received a beautiful package from Southern Field Industries, and inside was this “Waxed Rucksack”.  If you know me personally then you would know that this bag is right up my alley.  When I say I love everything about this bag, I mean EVERYTHING- from the British Millerain Waxed Cotton (used for the body) to the fully lined Tartan Plaid fabric to Red Wing Shoes Boot Lace (used as a drawstring) to Japanese Vegetable Tanned Cow Leather (base and other accents). And the most important part is that the rucksack is amazing beyond looks, with it being handmade it ensures a certain craftsmanship and quality that you can’t always expect from mass produce items.
