Happy 4th!!!

A couple of weekends ago I was off (from my day job) so I figured it was the perfect time to do another installment of “Essential Picks”.  The weather was in transition mode, preparing for the season’s change, and so was I; instead of wearing my traditional raw denim, I used this opportunity to debut my new Dockers SF Tapered Khaki’s.  Yes Dockers, the same brand you have in mind, but most likely not the same fit.

Dockers newly evolved aesthetic is a direct result of their new silhouettes tailored specifically for today’s modern man.  And the SF Tapered happens to be chief among the new fits- they take the cool and trim attitude of your favorite pair of jeans but dresses them up slightly, offering refined details like slanted trouser pockets and double welt pockets in the rear.

This khaki is offered in an array of colors- my personal favorites are “Sailor Blue” (above) and “Barn Door Red” (below) which both happens to be perfect for summer.  They are also enzyme treated which ultimately provides the comfort of a pant that has already been worn and broken-in— right from the initial fit.

Usually I prefer to wear all of my pants slightly cuffed (2-3 rolls) but this one I wouldn’t mind wearing uncuffed. Since I purposely got them a lil’ shorter than normal (34 inseam), they fall to the right spot, giving me the same cropped effect I get when I cuff them.

I can honestly say that aside from Unis’ Gio pant, these are some of the best fitting “khaki’s” (chinos) I have ever worn- and it doesn’t hurt that my girlfriend loves them on me as well!  With that been said, I look forward to getting some good use out of these this summer.
